Why is my file suspended?

Reasons as to why a file is being suspended, what to do to get your file back on track.


  • Due to Missing Payment Verification (PV) or Signature Request 

        - If after 14 days with continuos follow ups, the signatures or payment verification requested has not been completed; your file will be suspended. Once your PV or signature is received; the file will go back to active.


        *If it's regarding a reissued check, the file will be closed. And the new check will have to be uploaded as a "New File" in the iink app. 

  • Missing Information  

 We could request different types of information to complete your claim profile, we will send out reminders during a month to help you submit what's missing. If after 3 follow-ups, we do not receive the information missing the file will be suspended.

Your file can be suspended due to:

  1. Missing new check images.
    1. This happens because the images submitted before were not clear enough, had trim edges or shadows in them.
  2. Missing Information.
  3. Missing the scope of loss.
  • Inactivity 

When the check has not been sent out to the mortgage company, iink will suspend the file if:

        - iink doesn't have a response from the Property Owner's after 3 follow-ups.
        - Missing:

    1. Signed Hand Signed Third-Party Letter of Authorization (HSTPLOA)
    2. Incorrect Loan Number
    3. Have not confirmed primary and secondary Mortgage Company *if applicable*

    - Stakeholder is unresponsive
    - Progress of work  

    1. Property Owner needs to communicate the progress of the work made, if after 2 months there is no update. The file will be suspended.
- Verification letter missing 
    1. After 3 attempts, the file will be suspended.

- Owed iink fee
