What is Plaid?

Instantly authenticate bank accounts for payments.

Plaid is a financial technology company that allows users to connect their financial accounts to apps and services. Plaid uses encryption protocols and other security practices to protect users' information.

Plaid is used by millions of people to safely connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they love and trust. Plaid never shares your data without your permission and doesn't sell or rent your financial information to outside companies.

Option 1 — Connect through Plaid.

  • Select your banking institution
  • Once in the Plaid app, follow the directions to connect your bank
    • You’ll be signing into your bank institute using the credentials you always use, and you will automatically connect your preferred account, which will ensure iink deposits all funds into your authenticated bank account.  

This method is recommended because it prevents typos and ensures no delays in depositing your funds.

Option 2 — Manual addition.

If you prefer, you can enter your routing and account numbers manually; following the process as shown below. 

Once all the steps above have been completed, you will still use the Plaid program, but you will need to choose the micro-deposit method to confirm your desired bank account. 

This is a more in-depth process that will take multiple days to complete.

 

IMPORTANT! You must confirm the micro deposit from Plaid to complete and authenticate the connection; if this step is not completed your bank account won't be connected and you will not be able to receive your funds.

You will have 3 attempts to do so, before Plaid locks the system. To do this please follow the steps below:

If you have access to your online banking:

  • After 24-72 hrs. Log into your bank account 
  • Look for the $0.01 deposit in your account and click on the transaction to see its details  
  • The code you will need is the first 3 letters after the # symbol.
  • Access the iink app, under payment methods. Enter the code on the iink app to verify your bank account  
  • After a successful verification, your account is ready for ACH Deposits once the claim check has been fully endorsed 

If you don't have access to your online banking:

  • Call your bank
  • Ask for the $0.01 transaction and ask for the code that will be the first 3 letters after the # symbol.
  • Access the iink app, under payment methods. Enter the code on the iink app to verify your bank account  
  • After a successful verification, your account is ready for ACH Deposits once the claim check has been fully endorsed
