Get to know: Transaction Times

Transaction times refer to the duration it takes for money to move between your iink account and external accounts. Understanding these timelines ensures smooth financial management and helps set accurate expectations for fund availability.

Standard Bank Transfers

  • Processing time: Most standard transfers complete within 1–3 business days.
  • Cut-Off times: Transfers initiated before 7:00 PM EST typically begin processing the same business day. Transactions made after this time, on weekends, or on holidays will begin processing the next business day.
  • Bank delays: Banks may have additional processing requirements that could extend the timeframe.

Instant Transfers

  • Processing time: Transfers to eligible debit cards or bank accounts are usually completed within 30 minutes.
  • Eligibility: Not all bank accounts or debit cards support Instant Transfers. We note which of your linked accounts is eligible in your saved "Payment Methods".
  • Fees: A small fee is applied for Instant Transfer services. The fee is calculated as a percentage of the transfer amount, with minimum and maximum limits.

Processing Fees

iink Pay

  • Fee: Free*
  • *Applicability: When the mortgage company is not listed on the check or has already endorsed it.
  • Features:
    • Digital claim check endorsement
    • Multi-party claim check processing
    • Instant disbursement and deposit of funds

iink Pro

  • Fee: 1% of the claim check amount, capped at $299 per check, with a minimum fee of $25.
  • Applicability: When the mortgage company is listed on the check.
  • Features:
    • All benefits of iink Pay
    • Document submission and tracking for the mortgage company
    • Dedicated iink account manager for personalized support

Note: A one-time sign-up fee of $299 applies to both iink Pay and Pro.


Factors that can affect processing times

  1. Bank policies: Each bank has its own timelines for processing incoming and outgoing transfers.
  2. Holidays and weekends: Transactions are only processed on business days. Transfers initiated on weekends or holidays will be delayed until the next business day.
  3. Unusual activity: Transfers flagged for security or fraud concerns may take longer as they undergo additional verification.

Tips for faster transactions

  • Use instant transfer for urgent needs.
  • Ensure your bank account details are correct to avoid delays.
  • Initiate transfers early in the day to reduce the risk of missing cut-off times.

Troubleshooting delays

If your transfer hasn’t completed within the expected timeframe:

  1. Verify the status in your transaction history.
  2. Check with your bank to confirm if they’ve received the transfer.
  3. Contact our support team if delays exceed 5 business days.
