Add Collaborators & Manage Notifications

Step-by-step instructions for adding collaborators to your claims in the iink app, assigning them appropriate roles, and understanding how notifications are managed for each stakeholder.

Adding a Collaborator

  • Log In: Access to the iink app.

  • Select your Claim: On your dashboard, you can either select your current claim or click the blue "START NEW" button at the top right to create a new claim.

  • Add Stakeholders: At the bottom of the page, click on “+ Add Stakeholder.”

  • Select Role: Choose the appropriate role for each stakeholder from the following options:
    • Homeowner: Payee listed on the check who needs to sign digitally.
    • Professional: Individual receiving payment as part of the claim.
    • Mortgage Company: Listed on the check's pay-to-the-order line.
    • Insurance Carrier: The company that issued the check.
  • Enter Details: Provide the required information for each stakeholder, including email and phone number.

  • Assign Approval Status: For professionals, assign the appropriate approval status:

    • Signer: Listed on the check and must sign off on the transaction.
    • Approver: Not listed on the check but required to approve fund distribution.
    • Viewer: Can edit or review the claim but does not receive funds.
  • Submit: After entering all stakeholders, click "SUBMIT" to finalize the addition.

Editing Notification Preferences

  • Once logged into the iink app, on the left-side menu, go to "My Account" 
  • Scroll down, under "User Settings" you will find "Notification Preferences".
  • You will be able to select how -email or SMS- and what kind of notifications you want to receive.

  • Also, you can choose which day of the week would you like to receive an email digest about the status of all of your files. 
  • Once all the changes are made, click on "Save" at the bottom, to apply the new settings.
